So you have just received your floral arrangements, what can you do to ensure that your flowers look their best?

We've got 4 simple steps for you to care for your flowers.

- - -

Make an angled cut of about 1 inch off the stems, enabling them to take in more water.
Use a sharp scissors for the snip!

- - -

Place them into a vase filled with water. You can choose to add in some flower food. Try not to overcrowd the flowers in the vase.

- - -
Leaves in the water will decompose and thus, encouraging bacteria to grow. We don't want that!
We want the nutrients going to the blooms, so remove any wilted flowers or damaged leaves too.

- - -

Never place your flowers with or near fresh fruit or cigarette smoke as both produce ethylene gas, which is a substance that causes buds to remain closed, petals to have poor colour, and flowers to have a shortened vase life.
Never place flowers in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Change the vase water frequently or when they start to get cloudy. And do give the vases a good scrub and rinse.
Do snip off half to one inch from the stems each time you change the vase water, to give the flowers a fresh surface to "drink" water from.
